BnM is a leading renewable energy provider supporting Ireland’s journey to net zero by delivering secure, renewable energy for businesses across the country.
 
Working with our landbank, strategic partners and local communities we are building a 5GW renewable energy pipeline, including onshore and offshore wind, solar, biomass and biogas projects – enabling industrial growth while contributing to our sustainable future.
 
BnM has been serving communities across Ireland for over 90 years. Today we continue to support business and local communities not only by safeguarding renewable energy supply, but also through our dedicated programme of community initiatives including community benefit funds, Mount Lucas Wind Farm, Lough Boora Discovery Park, our business accelerator Accelerate Green, our Pathways to the Future educational supports and other initiatives.

  • Before you begin your application, please ensure you have read and understood the Application Rules.

  • You may save your application and return to it at any time before submission.
  • Once your application is submitted it cannot be amended. 
  • All applications must be submitted through this application platform.

Application Rules

  1. Each funding application will be evaluated by an Internal Panel on a case by case basis.
  2. Only one application per group, per year may be submitted.
  3. Only projects deemed eligible will be submitted to the Internal Panel for review.
  4. All qualifying submissions will be considered for funding.
  5. Funding will only approved once the project has been reviewed by the Internal Panel, a letter of offer has been sent to the applicant, and formally accepted by them.
  6. All decisions made by the Internal Panel are final.
  7. Where an offer is made, this will only will be made after the project has been reviewed and evaluated accordingly.
  8. All applications received will be screened on the basis of the qualifying categories and the qualifying criteria
  9. All applications will be evaluated against the comparative criteria
  10. Decisions will be made on specific awards on the basis of the results of this process
  11. Specific conditions of grant award may be applied and if so will be detailed in the letter of offer

Eligibility

Scheme Criteria:

To qualify for funding, the following Qualifying Criteria must be met by the applicant group/organisation:
  1. Benefiting entity must be not for-profit
  2. Benefiting entity must be tax compliant (where relevant)
  3. Membership of the benefiting entity must be open and nondiscriminatory
  4. Benefiting project must not espouse any political, religious or social exclusion philosophy, doctrine or policy

To qualify for funding, the applicant group/organisation must satisfy at least one the following Qualifying Categories:
  1. Amenity
  2. Community
  3. Culture/Heritage
  4. Education/Schools
  5. Recreation/Health
  6. Environment

All applications will also be evaluated based on the following Comparative Criteria:
  1. The range and number of people served in the community
  2. The range of categories served in the community
  3. Is there an sustainability aspect to the proposed funding? (e.g. Promotes Biodiversity, Clean Energy, Energy Efficiency Measures)
  4. The robustness of application
  5. Community aspect
